Happy Easter!

When I saw this cute ceramic bunny at the dollar store, I knew I just had to do something with it. I didn’t know what to do yet, and quite honestly I didn’t know what to do with it until I painted it seconds before I started photographing this.

Cute, though, right? A chocolate Easter bunny wrapped in foil. And I also love this cuz it was super cheap, and super easy!

So here’s the how-to.

The Supplies

  • Ceramic bunny from the trusty Dollar Tree
  • Acrylic paint: gold, yellow, blue, pink, and black
  • Paint brushes of varying sizes
  • Ribbon & scissors
  • Hot glue gun
1. Paint the entire bunny with gold paint. Let it dry.
2. Cut and tie a ribbon to glue to the bunny’s neck.
3. Now that the gold paint is completely dry, you can paint the details, including the mouth, nose, ears, and eyes. Note: for the eyes, be sure to paint the whites of the eyes yellow, and the iris/pupil area blue – this is the traditional chocolate Easter bunny eyes.
Glue on the bow.
Place it on top the cake, and voila! It’s done! And lookin’ so cute.
Cheap, easy, and so cute. It’s perf!
Hoppy Easter! (heh heh!)
