DIY Ice Cream Earrings

DIY Ice Cream Earrings 1

DIY Ice Cream Earrings 2

Happy National Ice Cream Day! (FYI it’s every year on the third Sunday in July — just in case you missed this year, now you know to celebrate next year!)

I’ve come up with 2 ice cream-themed DIYs that are super cute and suuuuper easy! (The easier the better, right?)

DIY Ice Cream Earrings

Supplies:

  • Wooden ice cream cone die-cuts – 2
  • Drill + small drill bit
  • Earring posts -2
  • Jump rings – 4
  • Pliers

  1. Start by drilling one small hole at the top of the ice cream cone die cut. Repeat this on the second one.
  2. Use pliers to loop one jump ring into the hole you just drilled, and clamp it shut. Apply the second jump ring onto the last one, but don’t clamp it shut just yet.
Do this process to your second ice cream cone die cut.
  3. Loop the earring post into the second jump ring, then clamp it shut.
Do this process to the second ice cream cone die cut.

That’s it! Three whole steps!!!!

DIY Rainbow Roses Sunnies

Supplies:

  • Sunnies
  • Scrapbooking resin roses
  • Acrylic paint, in color of rainbow + paint brush
  • Epoxy glue
  1. Get out 12 resin roses, and paint each one in the color of the rainbow. I used pink, orange, yellow, lime green, light blue, and light purple. Let them dry.
  2. Apply small dabs of Epoxy glue on the back of the resin roses, and one at a time, place them on the top of the sunglasses frame. Let the glue dry for 24 hours before wearing!

DIY Embroidered Easter Eggs

DIY Embroidered Easter Eggs 1

DIY Embroidered Easter Eggs

Supplies:

  • Large plastic Easter eggs — Note: You’ll want eggs that open length-wise from top to bottom, not in the very middle of the egg.
  • Drill + drill bit — Note: Use a drill bit as small as you can manage to thread a needle and thread through
  • Quilting needle
  • Embroidery thread, various colors
  • Scotch tape
  • Sharpie
  • Printed Clipart
  1. Start by printing off some Clipart — for example, I printed off a rainbow, a flower, and a butterfly — that will fit on the front of your egg.
  2. Cut out your Clipart.
  3. Loop pieces of Scotch tape, and stick them onto the back of your cut-out Clipart. Position and stick down the tape and the Clipart onto the front of the egg.
  4. Use the Sharpie to “trace” your Clipart, but instead of tracing, you’ll be marking where you’ll be drilling holes. Once you’re done “tracing,” remove the paper and tape.
  5. Use your drill to drill small holes where you marked with the Sharpie. Be careful on this step, and wear protective eyewear!
  6. Thread your needle, then begin embroidering. Use a piece of Scotch tape to secure the loose ends of the thread. Repeat until you’re done embroidering.
