DIY Gradient Corn Thanksgiving Centerpiece

I’m a huge fan of Thanksgiving, and I’m a huge fan of making the dinner as fancy as possible, what with place cards, centerpieces, swanky napkins, utensils, the whole shebang! However, I’m also a huge fan of pink and yellow, and unfortunately there aren’t enough Thanksgiving centerpieces that have those two colors! (Go ahead, try to find any decent centerpieces that are pink and yellow!) So I came up with a perfect DIY centerpiece to combine Thanksgiving-y decor, and fun colors, like pink and yellow! And better yet, it’s uber easy!

Supplies:

  • Faux corn on the cob (or real corn)
  • Spray paint, at least 3 different colors (I used pale pink, fuchsia, and yellow)
  1. Head outside or somewhere else well-ventilated, and begin by spraying the base color on all the corn cobs. (I used pale pink.) Make 1-2 coats, let them dry.
  2. Now spray the first gradient color (I sprayed fuchsia first.). Make short, light sprays, and spray randomly. Rotate the corn to be sure to spray spots all around the corn. Let it dry enough that you can handle to corn without getting any paint on your fingers.
  3. Finally, spray the last color (Mine was the yellow.). Make short, light sprays, again spraying randomly. Remember to rotate the corn to be sure you get all around the corn. Let the corn dry completely before you set it up or use it in your Thanksgiving table centerpiece!
